22 January 2014
Diam Bouchage, international leader in "technological" corks, once again organised a memorable event on the 22nd of January by uniting over 60 vineyards emblematic of the region, for a unique meeting-debate.
This reunion on the theme "Bordeaux: cultivate an image of luxury by preserving the specificities of the greatest vintages, like other wines" brought together two personalities: Bernard Burtschy, a renowned international wine critic and Vincent Bastien, a leading expert in luxury and the former director of major French luxury companies such as Louis Vuitton, Yves Saint Laurent Perfume and Sanofi Beauty.
Sharing their expertise with those present, they helped identify the issues surrounding luxury and the wines of Bordeaux and how this banner of excellence can bring together the different families of wine.
During the closing lunch, the owners of the great wine houses in attendance spoke of their Diam corked selection of 'grands vins' that were available for tasting.
With this Rendezvous, Diam Bouchage once again created a topic of current interest with the launch of its latest innovation: Diam 30, a cork closure with a lifespan exceeding 30 years, dedicated to Grands Crus and guaranteeing optimal aging in complete security.
Every year, under the banner of a club of excellence, the Rendezvous Diam unites in each wine region emblematic Domains and Houses as well as Diam Bouchage customers, offering them the opportunity to interact with specialist speakers, experts and figures of international stature, at a prestigious venue.
