With its international growth reaching double figures, the company was one of six to receive the Export Trophy award at a ceremony held by CCI International in Montpellier on 11th October.
CCI International Languedoc-Roussillon organized the 2nd Export Trophy Awards at Domaine de Verchant in Montpellier on Thursday, 11th October. This event, which aims to place internationally dynamic companies in the spotlight, presented an award to six companies based in the Languedoc-Roussillon region. Diam Bouchage, having performed particularly well in international markets over the last three years and currently operating in 40 countries around the world, was awarded the “Export Performance” trophy.
The company, which is based in Céret (66) France, specializes in the manufacture of cork bottle closures and today generates turnover of 52M€, of which 27M€ comes from exports, with 69% year-on-year growth since 2007. Diam Bouchage exports to all wine producing countries, particularly in Europe (Italy, Spain, Germany, Sweden, Hungary, and Romania, amongst others), North and South America, Oceania, South Africa, etc.
“We stand apart thanks to innovation”, explains Dominique Tourneix, chairman of Diam Bouchage. “We have developed a patented process in partnership with the CEA that eliminates any cork taste and enables permeability to be controlled. What is more, we have structured an offering that corresponds perfectly to the needs of local clients, in order to maintain a relationship that is as close as possible.”
