13 December 2017
At the end of the year, Diam Bouchage assembled over 220 wine estates and wine houses in Bordeaux (15th of November) and Burgundy (13th of December) to attend 2 debates led by Olivier Poels, Deputy Chief Editor of the Revue des Vins de France, on the theme of: ‘The French consumer and organic wine’, with a selection of speakers with varied profiles and most importantly expert on this subject!
- Florence MEA and Florent GUHL of the BIO Agency, the French Agency for the Development and Promotion of Organic Agriculture
- Patricia CHAIROPOULOS, Head of the Food Section at 60 Million Consumer Magazine
- Patrick HOURDEAU and Nathalie VILLETELLE, Match supermarkets
- Dr. Pierre SOUVET, cardiologist and President of the Association Santé Environnement France
Their involvement has helped to establish an inventory of organic wine in France and to understand consumer expectations and their perception of the various labels assembled under the generic name of ‘organic wine’. These exchanges also helped to better understand the role of the mass retail sector in this ever-growing market and the issues concerning health and the protection of the environment.
At the closing luncheon, the owners of the houses present commented on the selection of their Diam corked ORGANIC wines offered for tasting, which aroused the general interest of the audience.
